Bush is going around claiming victory because more taxes are coming in than were expected, and the facts wern't as bad as the earlier projections this year.
This is like telling your parents that you expect to get an "F" on your trig exam, and then boasting that you only got a "D".
Failing grades are failing grades.

Okay, Ive been out of here, but I got a note from my parents allowing me to be excussed. Ive been VERY busy lately.
I found my long lost Dad. No really, I did.
Bad side of the story is that he died in January of 05. But Ive found and uncle and an aunt, and I've talked to my two sisters. They told me that my Mom died in January of THIS year. Thats the rest of the bad news. Lets move on to good news.
I have two more sisters (half sisters) that I never knew about. Twins. And get this . A Half Brother, from Mom's third marrage.
More to come I promise.

Just a quick thought. If our president and most of congress think that outsourcing American jobs is such a good idea, maybe we should take a page from their book, and look for someone off shore to take over running our government.
As far as the legislative branch is concerned, I think Parliament is available. Any ideas of an international leader to take "W"s place?

Recently, I was having a pleasant discussion with one of my religious friends when the subject of the afterlife came up. She stated that there had to be an afterlife because (and forgive me for paraphrasing here) no loving God would allow us to live in such an unfair world unless there was an afterlife where everything was made right.
She then went further to tell me about her “hard, hard life” and how it would be God’s duty to punish those who had cause her all these indiscretions.
I should have shot here then and there and saved humanity the hardship that would be caused if this person were allowed to breed.
Don’t worry, I didn’t. But not because I was afraid I might end up in hell.
But I had to wonder, what kind of shit hole did this person think they lived in. Life seems pretty good to me, and I grew up in a household where physical abuse was part of the landscape. Face slaps and belt beatings were as common in my younger life as little league game were in other houses.
Have I assigned a private place in Hell for my parents?
Well at one time, yes I did. But as I grew older and wiser, I saw them as two people who were doing what the could with what they had.. My dad could not read or write and my mother made it to the fifth grade. They were hillbillies in a world they didn’t understand. I have since learned to forgive them, without the help of any God or promise of heaven.
The final irony was that as she spoke, another friend walked by in braces. Not fifty feet from where we were standing was a child with Down Syndrome, and yet she stood there on here own two feet, with all her wasted facilities.
People sometimes ask me, “What’s the harm in believing God ?” For the most part, I have no problem with “believers”, as long as they keep their passions to themselves. Holy wars and inquisitions not withstanding, most people only affect themselves (more often in the name of false hope) with their beliefs. But this woman seemed to live in the pre-Copernican universe, where not only the earth was the center of everything, but the true center was her.
People like this are so self-absorbed that they cant see the smile on peoples faces that have had a lot worse time of it than themselves.

CNN records that President Bush wants the tax cuts to be made permanent, calling it one of the best decisions we've made since he's been in office. Read it here: http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/07/bush.radio/
As for myself, I'm trying to think of a single good decision this administration can take credit for. Lowering taxes for the most wealthy (especially durring a shooting war) is about as wrongheaded a stance you could take.
But that aside, lets ask a very important question. Has lowering the taxes of the rich (supply side, trickle down, call it what you like) ever stimulated an economy?
The answer is no.
Never.
That whooshing sound you just heard are the neocon artist rushing to their keyboards, with the intention of telling us a great tale of a time before called The Reagan Years.
Save your kesytrokes RoeClones. That "great" recovery was built on deficet spending, and was quite short lived. Or have we all forgotten the recesion that Bush the First got for an inaguration present?
As a matter of fact, the last real recovery we had in this country was when we had a President that wasn't affraid to tax the wealthy their fair share. Can you say Clinton?

No, this is not me on a good day. But I'm always looking for a good buffalo pic.I got a new gmail account, and I don't know what to do with it.
I also got a 5th gen 30 gig Ipod and I'm having no trouble finding out what to do with it.
What is bothering more than anything lately is the fact that the Abramoff case is breaking wide open but other stories keep pushing it further down the fold. Between the West VA disaster and Sharon's condition, I'm fearful that this story is going to lose its momentum. This is quite likely the biggest story to hit American political culture since Watergate, and no one seems to be following it.
But then, I've got to remember, I'm here in Utah (64% favor Bush... 8% read newspapers..12% read, period) so maybe I need a reality check with the rest of the REAL world.
Black Jack, as I have taken to calling him since his appearance in his dark gansta suit, is fully expected to sing like Ginny Lynn as soon as he can. When he brings one metaphorica hammer down, annother will soon follow. Lets all keep our eye on which Washington suit makes it to the cleaners.
I have a few invites to give away to anyone who can figure out my new gmail address, wont take a rocket scientist.
